TRAVEL LIKE A GAL:
DAISY HOWARD

Today my guest is Daisy Howard. Daisy is my English teacher first I met her a couple of months ago and from the first minute completely fell in love! She is the kind of person that shines and shares her energy with everyone around her. I am the same kind that's why I knew that she is "my person". She created the @the_realmisshoney project, which is an Instagram account where Daisy unusually teaches English. Apart from that, she is a songwriter and a beautiful singer!

At the same time, Daisy is traveling a lot, and I was hoping that she could share some traveling vibes with everyone.

Let's see what happened.
Tell more about yourself. Where do you live, and what do you do?
I’m a citizen of the world! I’ve been in Mexico for about 3 months, but I bounce around a lot. I was based in Thailand for 2 years before Mexico, but I’m originally from the UK.

— What is your passion?
Music, creating, making things, seeing the world, learning as much as is humanly possible, connecting with beautiful souls, helping people, and loving animals.
— Why have you decided to start traveling?
There’s just so much to see and learn outside of where we’re from. It’s actually insane. So when I first caught the travel bug in my early twenties.
I realized that seeing the world opened me up, accelerating my own growth ten-fold.
I had to get out of the bubble I was brought up in and get out there.

— What is your favorite place on the Earth and where is it located?
It’s a tough question… I definitely have my favorites, but I think my heart will always be in Koh Phangan, Thailand. It was where I experienced the most challenges, the hardest lessons, the greatest love, and the most exponential growth I’d ever experienced in my life. That, and it’s ridiculously beautiful there.

— What did traveling teach you?
So much… and it continues to do so.
I think one of the biggest things I learned is that “home” is in the people we meet, and it’s not so much a place.
Rather, it’s in the comfort of the connections we make.

— What are you afraid of? What do you do when you're scared?
I’m afraid of regretting things in my life, which is why I want to live life to the fullest. I don’t want to get to 50 and wish I’d have done x or y. I just want to do it all, see it all, try it all, without bounds or limitations.

What do you do when everything goes wrong?
Hide in my room for a while, or run away to the other side of the world (the latter is something I’m working on…)
How do you deal with feelings of uncertainty?
With doubts?
I journal a LOT. I always find that the answers are within me. I just have to sit with it and find peace in the stillness. A woman’s intuition is her superpower. We always know.

What do you think is your main achievement in life?
So far, it’s building an online business that has supported me in this life. I’m really proud of what I’ve built and am so thankful for it.

Where are you looking for inspiration?
I look up to many people who live the life I want, both in travel terms and creatively. Everyone from Elizabeth Gilbert to Taylor Swift…

What is happiness for you?
Freedom.
What would you suggest to those girls who also want to start traveling?
Just go for it. Book a flight. See what happens. You’re smart, you’re savvy, and you’re stronger than you’ll ever realize.
Are you traveling too?
Then quickly fill out the form. Let your answers be such that anyone read the interview and believe in you,
"if this girl succeeded, then I will succeed."
